Its main peak, "Jiuzhou Gedaa" (Nine-Continent Hillock), stands at an elevation of 1,778.3 meters, rising abruptly from the surrounding mountains. Since ancient times, it has been regarded as a symbol of "peace across the nine continents." Historical research indicates that the area contains ruins of various temples and structures, including the Temple of Guan Yu (God of War), Temple of the Goddess (Ehuang & Nüying), Peony Temple, Cypress God Temple, Fragrant Flower Temple, Jade Emperor Temple, Guanyin Temple, Medicine King Temple, Dragon King Temple, monasteries, the Marshal’s Platform of Luo Cheng from the Tang Dynasty, the Martial Arts Training Hall of Huyanzan, the ancient fortress of Meng Jiayuan from the Qing Dynasty, and the summer retreat of Meng Shifang, a Qing-era minister.
The scenic area is characterized by two waterfalls, three streams, and one hundred and eight pools, along with attractions such as the Millennium Divine Turtle, the Bathing Pools of Ehuang and Nüying, the Statue of Guan Yu, Guan Yu’s Sword-Testing Platform, Northern Song Dynasty cliff carvings, a Sky Ladder, and a Natural Gorge. These elements combine with striking peaks, peculiar rocks, emerald pools, and cascading waterfalls to form a mystical, fantastical, and serene natural landscape. It is celebrated as the “Dreamlike Water Town” and the “Fairyland on Earth.” This is a comprehensive natural scenic resort integrating sightseeing, leisure, dining, and entertainment.
