The scenic landscape of Rongshui’s mountainous regions is enchanting, featuring the majestic Yuanbao Mountain, vast forests, waterfalls, deep pools, and serene caves. The crystal-clear Beijiang River is complemented by the “Beijiang Rainbow”—a suspension bridge—as well as sights such as the Shouxingyan Temple. This area serves as a natural botanical and zoological garden, home to over 200 rare specimens of the “Guangxi Fir,” a relic plant from the Quaternary glacial period and a newly discovered precious tree species.
There are over 30 major attractions in the region. Near the Beijiang Iron Suspension Bridge, about 19 kilometers from the county town, a new ethnic tourism village—the first in Siler Township—has been established. The main roads in the village have been paved and made accessible, the Lusheng Square and Horse-Fighting Ground have been renovated, and a new wooden guesthouse with ethnic characteristics has been built.
The village is home to over 70 households, all of whom are of the Miao ethnic group. They maintain strong Miao traditions in terms of customs, residential architecture, language, and clothing. A variety of colorful folk performances such as Lusheng group dances, Mangge dances, Lagu dances, and toasting dances, along with lesser-known customs like horse-fighting competitions, bird-fighting contests, and more, can be experienced here.
