Church of Our Lady of Grace

Introduction
The Church of Our Lady of Grace, located in the square of the same name, was built in 1885 to facilitate religious activities for Chinese Catholic worshippers. It was originally named “Our Lady of Grace Chapel” during that period. Today, it remains the only Gothic-style church in Macau. Due to its proximity to beautiful gardens with distinctive Portuguese landscaping and its location along a quiet street, it has become a popular spot for both locals and tourists to pray and admire the architecture. The church features a relatively large floor area with high ceilings. The main entrance faces east. Today, it still holds regular Masses and is a venue for various religious ceremonies throughout the year. The church was recently renovated, with the surrounding area also upgraded, and includes facilities such as rest areas and religious goods shops, making it a serene place favored by visitors.
