The Cloud Spring Immortal Hall features a group of classical Chinese-style palace buildings. The gate plaque, inscribed with the four characters “Cloud Spring Immortal Hall,” was written by Chen Yixin. The main hall, “Chunyang Hall,” has ornamental pillars and enshrines Lüzu as the primary deity, with the “Spirit Official Hall” built in front. The garden area includes a “Moral Square” housing a stele engraved with the full text of Laozi’s “Tao Te Ching.” The “Yizhen Garden” showcases a pottery relief of the “Eight Immortals” and a calligraphic work of the “Hundred-Character Stele of Lüzu” written in clerical script. There are also one large and one small lotus ponds that bloom beautifully in season. In the center of the larger pond stands an “Angling Pavilion,” connected to both shores by a winding bridge, and a statue of Confucius is placed between the two ponds. The temple also features the Cloud Spring Vegetarian Centre, offering vegetarian side dishes and set meals.
