Since its establishment in the 16th year of the Kangxi reign, the Gongbei of Erlipu has been damaged and repaired multiple times due to both natural and man-made reasons, eventually reaching its current magnificent scale. The architectural layout and style fully demonstrate the strong cohesion between Islamic culture and traditional Chinese culture. First, the ambiance of traditional Chinese architecture incorporates Islamic architectural elements. Second, it showcases carving and painting crafts rich in Islamic cultural significance.
