After initial construction in the years following 1978, a number of basic facilities and attractions have been built, including a small pier, the Scenic View Pavilion, and the Lake Center Bridge, attracting both local and out-of-town visitors. According to the overall plan, once fully completed, Youth Lake Park will cover an area of over 500 acres, featuring winding pavilions on the lake, interconnected structures, man-made islands in the water, and a garden-within-a-garden. Along the lakeside, there are scattered swimming pools, amusement parks, roller rinks, rose gardens, and a “Northern Water Town” area. Skillfully designed and exquisitely crafted, the park combines human artistry with natural beauty, capturing landscapes from both north and south in one view. It serves as an ideal destination for entertainment, leisure, and fishing. In recent years, visitors have praised it with a poem: “Do not say Caozhou lacks mountains and waters—Youth Lake’s scenery stretches far and wide.”
