The museum is a local thematic museum dedicated to bronze culture. Its main content is a comprehensive display of Tongling’s distinctive bronze culture, divided into six sections: “Feilian Smelting Gold,” “Dawn of the Bronze Land,” “Echoes of Mining and Metallurgy,” “Treasures of Bronze Artifacts,” “Struggles Between Wu and Chu,” and “Contemporary Bronze Craftsmanship.”
The exhibition displays utilize modern high-tech presentation methods, simulating ancient mining, smelting, and casting scenes, with detailed historical materials and lifelike figures. The cultural relics section features a selection of over 260 locally distinctive bronze ware pieces from the museum's collection, along with more than 80 contemporary bronze artworks, complemented by a wealth of exquisite pictorial materials, offering rich cultural content. The overall concept of the exhibition centers on bronze culture as the creative axis, using artistic, novel, and advanced display techniques to recreate the more than 3,000-year splendid history of mining, smelting, and casting in the ancient Bronze Capital — Tongling — and its enduring legacy.
