Zhaowang River Park
The Zhaowang River is an ancient natural waterway that flows through Heze’s urban area. Its banks were originally lined with greenbelts, but these had fallen into decline over time. To improve the urban environment, Heze has invested more than 400 million yuan to develop it into a key scenic and ecological corridor in the city. It is now the most modernized, culturally distinctive, and ecologically valuable area in Heze, integrating culture, entertainment, leisure, and tourism. The park boasts picturesque scenery with expansive water surfaces—approximately 85 hectares—and features around 8,000 trees, both arbor and shrub species, along with 120,000 square meters of green space. The completed Zhaowang River Park offers charming bridges and flowing streams, pavilions and terraces, lush trees and vibrant flowers, and serene blue waters, making it a vibrant hub for leisure and recreation among local residents.
