China Peony Garden

　　   The China Peony Garden project has a total investment of 620 million yuan, covering an area of 1,200 mu. It is planned and constructed according to the standards of a "5A" level scenic spot, integrating peony variety conservation, a breeding base, and peony viewing. To date, over 900 varieties and more than 800,000 plants of peonies and tree peonies have been planted, among which Zhao Fen, Dongfang Jin, Shou’an Hong, and Tree Peony Peony are rare and precious varieties. Additionally, 200,000 tulips have been introduced, filling a gap in the cultivation of tulips in southwestern Shandong. Among them, the premium tulip variety "Guotai" was personally named by [a notable figure]. Meanwhile, 600,000 lavender plants, 200,000 chrysanthemums, and 2,000 wintersweet trees have also been planted to ensure flowers can be enjoyed all year round. In order to integrate Heze’s culture of calligraphy and painting, folk culture, and historical heritage, cultural projects such as the Li Ronghai Art Museum, Longrenkang Pottery Gallery, and "Sunday 8" Town have also been introduced. Once completed, the project is expected to receive 500,000 visitors annually, generate 200 million yuan in tourism revenue, and bring in 30 million yuan in tax revenue. It will become the world’s largest base for peony variety conservation, breeding, and viewing.

　　   The China Peony Garden has currently planted over 900 varieties and more than 2 million plants of peonies and tree peonies. Among them, Zhao Fen, Dongfang Jin, Shou’an Hong, and Tree Peony Peony are rare and precious varieties.

　　   The scenic area has also planted 600,000 lavender plants, 200,000 chrysanthemums, and 3,000 red maples to ensure flowers can be viewed throughout the year. Phase one of the garden has already built an Old-World Commercial Street, Flower Viewing Tower, Sanxian Temple, Century Peony Garden, Protected Cultivation Base for Peony Varieties, and a Fruit-Picking Garden.

　　   To further improve the park’s scenic facilities and serve more visitors, phase two will include the construction of a resort hotel, wellness community, rare treasures museum, Caozhou Celebrity Hall, Caozhou Cultural Hall, amusement park, zoo, and other projects.

　　   From 2015 to the present, the China Peony Garden has hosted the first and second Heze Chrysanthemum Culture and Art Festivals, the 25th Heze Peony Cultural Tourism Festival, the first Heze Dream Light Festival, the Cross-Straits Three Regions Food Festival, the Water Splashing Festival, the Enchanted Carnival, and the first Caozhou Cultural Temple Fair, among other events, receiving a total of 500,000 visitors.
