In the 1940s and 1950s, Cross Park directly bordered the sea, so the flower stands were designed in a wave shape. According to elderly residents living in Taipa, the brick house currently located on the flat ground at the bottom used to be a toilet built by the seaside, with fish often seen swimming in the waters below. Due to land reclamation, it has now lost its original function. During the peak of summer, standing at the highest point offers a delightful view of lotus flowers swaying in the wind across the entire lotus pond. It is indeed a pleasing sight and an excellent destination for both tourism and wedding photography in Macau.
