Bali Left Bank Park

Bali Left Bank Park is situated next to the Left Bank Clubhouse and the dock. Following the revitalization of Bali Left Bank, it serves as the first gateway to restoring the area’s natural splendor and cultural richness. Stroll along the red-tiled, white-walled ferry terminal, eco-friendly wooden boardwalks, cycling paths, and even horse trails to reach the northernmost mangrove ecological reserve on Earth, and eventually arrive at the Tamsui River estuary’s Sanxia Museum. Travelers come to Bali for its breathtaking natural scenery, vibrant cultural charm, and a wealth of delightful recreational experiences—just as every great city has a mother river that nourishes and cultivates its civilization. The spacious lawns of Left Bank Park make it an ideal venue for events. From here, you can enjoy an even more expansive and enchanting view of Tamsui, and take a stroll along the beach to get up close with the clean and pleasant Tamsui River. The park also features vast grassy areas, tidal beaches, a ferry dock, pedestrian wooden boardwalks, dedicated bike lanes, basketball courts, children’s play zones, passenger carriages, and miniature horses. Special mention goes to the New Taipei City Mounted Police Unit (on duty during holidays for public safety patrols and available for photo opportunities with visitors).
Left Bank Park (formerly known as Ximen Riverside Park) borders the Tamsui River and includes key facilities such as the Left Bank Dock, Left Bank Clubhouse, and the New Taipei City Public Bicycle Rental Station. It offers amenities like swings, rocking horses, seesaws, a nighttime basketball court, and volleyball courts (which can also double as bicycle practice areas). Near the Left Bank Clubhouse, there is a concrete slide and a children’s playhouse, along with expansive green spaces perfect for family outings. Cross the wooden boardwalk to find stair-stepped embankments and grassy areas ideal for ocean (or nighttime) views. During low tide, you can explore the riverbank’s sandy and pebble beaches to catch crabs, dig for clams, or search for oysters—or simply play in the sand. There are also washing stations along the shore to help you rinse off any mud or sand.
