Slope Post Nature Ecological Reserve

The Slope Post Nature Ecological Reserve is situated in the Eastern Peak Forest Scenic Area of the Maling River Canyon National Scenic Spot and is a provincial-level nature ecological reserve. The area boasts rich biological resources and unique landforms, featuring typical karst topography. It is also one of the regions at the same latitude in China that best preserves its terrain, landforms, flora, and fauna. The entire region encompasses nine villages, including Minzu Village, Rongni Village, Daqing Village, Yanfeng Village, and Slope Post Village in Zhengtun Town, with 73 villager groups, 2,103 households, and a population of 9,032. It spans a total area of 108 square kilometers (16,200 mu), including 7,232 mu of arable land.
The entire Slope Post Nature Ecological Reserve lies on Mesozoic Triassic strata, composed mainly of limestone and dolomitic limestone. The elevation within the reserve ranges from 759 to 1,588.1 meters, and the landforms include karst peak forests, basins, and depressions.
