Tianhuangping Scenic Area is a provincial-level scenic spot located in the southeastern part of Anji County, 17 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 23 square kilometers, the area consists of three zones: the Power Station Zone, the Bamboo Sea Zone, and the Lingfeng Zone. It boasts abundant and diverse natural and cultural tourism resources, with both elements complementing each other beautifully. The Power Station Zone features the Daxi Gorge, which stretches 9 kilometers, flanked by towering mountains on both sides and home to the rushing Daxi River that flows down to the lower reservoir. The summit of Tianhuangping hosts a vast flatland that serves as the upper reservoir of the power station. China's largest and the world’s third-largest pumped-storage power station—the Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station—was constructed here. The zone is also filled with expansive bamboo forests and numerous streams. The Lingfeng Zone contains the internationally renowned Bamboo Species Garden, the Bamboo Museum, and the ancient Lingfeng Temple, which dates back a thousand years.
