朝京门

　　介 绍        历史上曾因拥有7座坚固城门楼而被兵家誉为东江要塞的惠州古城，由于战乱等原因于80多年前所有城门楼悉数被毁。2006年7月3日，地处东江南岸、与数百米明代古城墙相接、按照明代惠州北城门原样恢复重建的朝京门城楼重新屹立在东江边，展现在市民面前。原北城门始建于明代洪武三年(公元1370年)。洪武二十二年(公元1389年)扩大城门规模，改名朝京门。朝京门城楼和城墙工程是将堤围建设成为具有挡水功能的仿古城墙，将旱闸建设成为仿古城楼。　

　　     朝京门3个门洞6扇大红色的城门上都有一排排金色的突钮式装饰，平时这6扇电动的防洪闸门均日夜开启成交通要道，但当东江水位上涨到15米时，防洪闸门便会关闭抵御东江洪水。
