平海南门海湾

平海南门海湾

　　平海南门海湾位于惠东县平海镇，距县城平山镇53公里，属于大亚湾东岸，湾长6.5公里，宽3.5公里，面积22.8平方公里。视野宽广，海滩宽阔，海沙晶莹洁白。与海湾连为一体的是浩瀚的南海。素有“天赐白金堤”之称的半月形海滩长达10余里，海沙洁白晶莹细软平实。沿沙滩向海底延伸，近百米内水深不过1.5米，水色清蓝轻波细浪，蔚蓝色的海水清澈见底，全无礁石，海浪巨大，是一个良好的天然海水浴场。许多游人赞口不绝，谓其自然环境可与世界旅游胜地“夏威夷”媲美。

　　离南门海湾约一公里处有广东省著名的历史文化名——平海古城，这里是观光、渡假的理想去处。为方便游客，惠东县城平山镇有往返平海的直线班车。
