Lawu Rock Waterfall
Lawu Rock Waterfall Lawu is the name of a Nu ethnic person, while “rock” is in Chinese. The waterfall gets its name because Lawu was the first to cultivate this land. Lawu Rock Waterfall is one of the cascading waterfalls and springs in Fugong County. It is located 2.75 kilometers directly southeast of the county town, on the east side of the Wugong Highway. The spring water gushes out from high mountain cliffs and rushes down as a torrent, then suddenly plummets from the top of the hard Lawu Rock. After cascading down three terraced levels, the flowing water naturally forms a magical waterfall. It looks like millions of white jade jewels sparkling as they fall from midair to the earth. Viewed from a distance, it resembles a long, white ribbon of cloud descending from the sky, floating above the lush land, dazzlingly brilliant and spectacular, leaving one awestruck.
