Yaping Ecotourism Scenic Area

　　Yaping Ecotourism Scenic Area is situated on the western bank of the Nujiang River in the Gaoligong Mountains, 54 kilometers from the county town, at an altitude of 2,600 to 3,000 meters, where the rich diversity of nature is vividly displayed. The main ecological environments—including snow-capped mountains, bamboo seas, primeval forests, and local dwellings—are truly captivating. The vast Gaoligong Mountain range stretches across the area, with snow-capped peaks that remain year-round. The Yamu River and Yazuo Luo Mountain boast pristine waters and lush greenery, with sheer cliffs, peculiar peaks, and cascading waterfalls and streams everywhere. The vast expanses of azaleas and the endless primeval forests create breathtaking scenery.
