  Cuiwei Garden is located on the south bank of the Nanming River, outside the Dnan Gate of Guiyang, south of the Fuyu Bridge, and adjacent to the Jiaxiu Tower. Originally constructed during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty (1488–1505), it was initially known as Nanan (South Nunnery), later renamed Wuhou Shrine and then Guanyin Temple. After renovation in 1993, it was renamed Cuiwei Garden.

  Cuiwei Garden is a large-scale ancient architectural complex. The Gongnan Pavilion within the garden features a simple yet vivid design; Cuiwei Pavilion is elegant and graceful; Qinghua Kongcui Garden is graced with swaying bamboo; and Longmen Academy is serene under dense shade. It now serves as an exhibition hall for the works of Ms. Xiao Xian, a renowned Chinese calligraphy master from Guiyang (a disciple of Kang Youwei).

Surrounded by corridors and floral walls, the garden combines tranquility, elegance, grandeur, and simplicity.
