Jinjiaba Reservoir Scenic Area

　　Jinjiaba Reservoir is located in Guanqing Township, 47 kilometers from Youyang County. Since it officially began impounding water on November 28, 2010, the Jinjiaba reservoir area has transformed into a beautiful lake and become a new tourist attraction in Youyang.

　　The Jinjiaba Scenic Area features “mountains, lakes, gorges, and ethnic villages” as its core elements, combining fishing, leisure vacationing, sightseeing, and folk culture experiences into one eco-friendly leisure tourism destination. Situated in Guanqing Township, it is a “National AA-level Tourist Attraction.” The scenic area is developed along the water. The Jinjiaba Reservoir includes the Jinjiaba Hydropower Station, which has a storage capacity of 200 million cubic meters and a water surface area of 5 square kilometers. It is the largest hydropower station in the Ganlong River basin and the biggest peak-shaving power plant in southeastern Chongqing for the Chongqing Power Grid.
