Atushi Azihan Fig Folk Culture Garden

Atushi is famous for its figs. Also known as "immortal fruit" or "sugar buns growing on trees," figs were introduced to Atushi from Persia during the Tang Dynasty. The local figs are large, juicy, brightly colored, and have a high sugar content. They are sweet and delicious, contain trace amino acids, and are considered an excellent cancer-preventive fruit.

The Azihan Fig Folk Culture Garden is a four-star agritainment destination, located in Azihan Village, Songtak Township, Atushi City, just 2 kilometers from downtown Atushi. The garden covers an area of 56 acres, with grape pergolas running throughout. Fig trees are planted on both sides, and in the center stands a mushroom-shaped pavilion designed in traditional Uyghur architectural style. The orchard highlights the distinctive features of Uyghur pavilions in Atushi. During summer and autumn, many tourists visit to enjoy the sweet figs and Munage grapes under the cool pavilions and grape pergolas, admire the unique orchard scenery, and watch Uyghur dance performances and “Mashrap” concerts.
