Jewish Quarter of Córdoba

  Introduction

Refers to the area around the mosque where Jews used to live. The place is full of narrow, winding alleyways like a maze, whitewashed houses with pink walls, windows adorned with colorful flower pots, and courtyards visible through open doors, all showcasing the essence of Andalusian charm. At the northwest end of the alleys is the well-preserved Puerta de Almodóvar, the entrance to the Jewish quarter. A short walk south from there brings you to the Synagogue facing Plaza de las Tendillas, one of only two surviving synagogues in Spain.
