Panshou Mountain is the highest peak in Tunliu County. Introduction: Panshou Mountain, anciently known as Ludu Mountain, is located 45 kilometers west of Tunliu County. Its main peak stands at an elevation of 1,574 meters, soaring straight into the sky with exceptionally steep cliffs. When you look up at the summit, you’ll feel as if “the mountain peaks are within a foot of the sky, with dead pines hanging upside down along the sheer cliffs.” The rocky body of the mountain twists and turns, stretching over a hundred li. Climbing from the mountain base, clinging to vines and rocks to reach the summit, you can’t help but feel the awe of “arriving at the summit, I look down upon all the other peaks.” Overlooking the mountain’s form, posture, and character, it appears mysterious, deep, and ever-changing. At the summit of Panshou Mountain stands a Jade Emperor Temple, consisting of three rooms entirely built with massive stones, retaining the architectural style of the Song Dynasty. Inside, murals are still preserved. In the shadow of Panshou Mountain, within the territory of Baoquan Township on its northern side, there is a steep cliff dozens of zhang high. Above the cliff is a crystal-clear spring, the water of which plunges straight down from the rock face, splashing beads and jade-like droplets, resembling the momentum of “waterfall plunging three thousand feet.” Beneath the waterfall lies a pool of water covered with lush river grass, some over two zhang long, floating on the surface, creating a scene of vibrant green grass and swimming fish that is truly captivating.
