The museum is dignified and solemn. It was once an old official residence, and its main collections focus on Argentine history and related subjects, including materials and artifacts from the May Revolution and the War of Independence.
In addition, it also displays comprehensive information on Argentine history and customs, ranging from pre-15th century Indigenous cultures (before the arrival of the Spanish) up to the 20th century. The exhibits are diverse, including prints, watercolors, weapons, maps, and everyday objects.
It’s a beautiful place, and what makes it even more special is that it showcases the long history of Argentina from its founding to the present, making it well worth a visit.
