Tianshan Duku Highway Martyrs' Memorial

　　    Located on the south bank of Qiaoma Bridge, 153 kilometers east of Nileke County. This monument commemorates the comrades who sacrificed their lives in the construction of the Duku Highway. The main body of the monument is faced with marble, with the 18 Chinese characters “为独库公路工程献出生命的同志永垂不朽！” (“Eternal glory to the comrades who gave their lives for the Duku Highway project!”) on the front. The back features an inscription and the names of the martyrs, written in both Chinese and Uyghur.
