Laba Luo
Laba is 50 kilometers from Liuku, at an altitude of 1,150 meters. The gorge stretches 10 kilometers in length, with the narrowest point being just 10 meters wide and a drop of 20 meters. In the Lisu language, it is called “Laba Luo,” meaning the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The gorge is flanked by overlapping peaks and sheer cliffs, with bizarre rocks dotting the river and the currents rushing violently, creating a deafening roar.

This place is regarded as the birthplace of the Tiger Clan of the Lisu people and is surrounded by various legends. It is said that during the conscription campaigns of the Republican era, conscripts jumped from the east bank to the west bank of the river.
