The Baishuiyang Scenic Area is one of Fujian Province’s eight major tourism brands, renowned as the “world’s most spectacular sight and a mystery of the universe.” According to geological experts, Baishuiyang is a rare shallow water plaza in the world, formed by a massive rock stretching across the bottom of the water, covering an area of 80,000 square meters and connecting seamlessly with the surrounding mountains. The rock surface is smooth as a whetstone, seamless and moss-free. Water is evenly distributed across the rock, reaching only to the ankles. Under the sunlight, the clear water sparkles like silver, creating a truly marvelous sight. The Baishuiyang Geological Park also boasts the world’s only Mandarin Duck and Macaque Nature Reserve. The total area of the Baishuiyang Geological Park spans 77.34 square kilometers.
