Lush forests densely packed, tranquil paths through the woods, a pool of emerald water, and the stretch of green grass you’ve been yearning for.

If people are praising other beautiful places, we can proudly say that the scenery here is truly unique. This is the renowned tourist destination hailed as an “ecological museum”—Changpoling Forest Park.

Spanning 3,486 acres of wild beauty, the park is home to precious tree species such as the dove tree, Masson pine, and ginkgo, as well as Sunrise Peak, an ideal spot for watching both sunrise and sunset. An ancient Ming Dynasty post road, about 1,300 meters long, runs through the park. To truly experience the park, you’ll have to rely on your own two feet. You can walk around Cherry Blossom Lake, enjoying the charm of small bridges and clear waters in a garden-like setting, or lie on the ground and gaze up at the blue sky. But the best experience is walking along the ancient post road, where tall pines stand all around, dotted with sparse shrubs, and smooth flagstones are nestled between grass and soil. With every step on those stones, you’ll be filled with a sense of nostalgia and awe at the passage of time.

“Bring a hammock, a book, listen to the birds sing in the woods, and watch the sunlight sprinkle sparsely over the grass. The feeling is absolutely wonderful. Plus, where else can you find such fresh air and enjoy such a refreshing forest bath?”

During the “Golden Week” holiday, the forest park will offer a variety of fun activities: such as a forest treasure hunt, water golf tournaments, archery competitions, and tree adoption and planting activities for Lucky Trees, Unity Trees, and Growth Trees.

Visitors here will surely marvel at the park’s natural scenery, feel the gentle beauty of spring-like weather and picturesque mountains and waters, and lose themselves in the poetic and painterly ambiance of the forest, as if in a springtime idyll.
