Vatulele Island
Vatulele Island (Vatulele Island) is a uniquely distinctive island in Fiji, with an atmosphere of adventure and romance, and far from the mundane world — no phones, faxes, radios, televisions, not even newspapers. It is said that “Vatulele” in Fijian means “ring-shaped rocks” in English, so you could say Vatulele Island is an island covered with ring-shaped rocks.

Upon arriving at Vatulele Island, you can leave all your worries behind and soak up the Fijian sun to your heart's content, while being attentively served by 54 staff members. The maximum number of visitors is 24, making the staff-to-guest ratio two to one. The friendly staff come from four villages on the island. In addition to the island’s several beaches, you can also visit nearby islands and island communities, home to hundreds of species of seabirds. You can also go to villages where tapa cloth is made, and explore caves, lighthouses, and jungle trails.

If you’re feeling active, you can also try surfing and sailing — there is a wide variety of yachts available, and scuba diving is very popular here. You can go on a shipwreck exploration, or you can just lie around all day. The most popular activity on Vatulele Island is lying in a hammock after lunch. Fishing is an exciting pastime on the island, which is surrounded by coral reefs teeming with a variety of fish, including snapper, yellowtail, and marlin. Vatulele Island is said to be the habitat of the legendary red-whiskered shrimp, considered a sacred site — visitors might want to see if the legend holds true.
