Lake Mar Chiquita is the largest salt lake in Argentina, approximately 80 kilometers long and 24 kilometers wide, with a maximum depth of up to 34 meters and a surface area of about 2,000 square kilometers. The lake is primarily fed by the Dulce River, and also receives inflows from rivers such as the Primero and Segundo, but has no outflow. Amazingly, there are several charming small islands in the lake, but these islands are gradually disappearing, mainly due to evaporation, and may eventually turn into salt flats. Around Lake Mar Chiquita lies the world-renowned Mar Chiquita Beach, which has become an ideal destination for leisure, entertainment, and sunbathing. It has grown into a well-known tourist attraction in Argentina. Luxury hotels have been built near the lake, and it has also become the origin of many mysterious stories.
