The First Roar of the Nu River
The roaring Nu River, which has been thundering all the way, suddenly narrows from over 100 meters to just over 50 meters at this point. The once calm waters become extremely turbulent, with waves splashing and producing a deafening, earth-shaking roar, forming waves over 70 meters high. On May 1, 2004, experts attending the Gongshan Bingzhongluo Tourism Planning Seminar proposed that Gongshan Yuegu is a microcosm of the thousand-mile Nu River, best embodying the river’s surging and roaring essence. Therefore, it was named the First Roar of the Thousand-Mile Nu River.
