Fairy Playing the Zither
Introduction On the left peak in front of the Paiyun Pavilion at West Sea, there is a uniquely shaped rock resembling a human figure, with another rock next to it that looks like a zither. The human-shaped rock strikingly resembles a young maiden, while the zither-like rock appears as a horizontally placed phoenix zither. The formation gives the impression of a maiden sitting beside the zither, leaning slightly forward, intently playing the strings. Hence, it is named “Fairy Playing the Zither,” commonly referred to as “Fairy Strumming the Zither.”
