Shiyandong Cave
Shiyandong Cave is situated in Liping, Jinggangshan, embraced by surrounding mountains and serene bamboo forests, with stunning natural beauty. It earned its name from the numerous bats dwelling inside — locally known as "shiyàn" (stone swallows) by the Hakka people. The cave complex consists of seven interconnected karst caves. The largest cave can accommodate hundreds of people, featuring vertically and horizontally connected chambers that twist and turn through a mysterious, deep expanse. The cave is exceptionally rich in stalactite formations, with an abundance of stalagmites, stone pillars, stone forests, stone flowers, stone curtains, stone canopies, and stone waterfalls scattered throughout. Each formation is uniquely shaped and strikingly lifelike.

  Guide:

Shiyandong Cave is winding and profound, with approximately 1,000 meters already explored. It features a cave-within-a-cave structure, including seven discovered bead-like caves. The largest is over sixty meters high and fifty meters in both length and width, resembling a grand hall that could hold over a thousand people. The smallest cave is more than ten meters high and about twenty meters in both length and width. Inside the cave, streams flow with a clear, melodious sound.
