In 221 AD, Liu Bei stationed himself in Jiameng. He took advantage of the area’s thriving population, fertile land, and abundant resources to actively recruit soldiers, stockpile provisions, and make full preparations for establishing the Shu Han regime. The Sword and Blade Barracks was the training ground for Liu Bei’s soldiers at that time. Because swords and blades were constantly in motion there every day, locals called it the “Sword and Blade Barracks,” a name that has been passed down to this day.

The Sword and Blade Barracks - Lords and Ministers Garden is a sculpture garden themed around Shu Han figures who fought and lived in Zhaohua during the Three Kingdoms period. It uses stone carving art to portray these historical personalities, aiming to reflect that historical era while also highlighting the Three Kingdoms cultural theme of the ancient Zhaohua city. The garden paths are designed in the layout of the Yin-Yang Taiji fish diagram, with clumps of moso bamboo serving as the main landscaping feature. Statues of Shu Han figures are tucked among the bamboo groves, appearing and disappearing intermittently, giving off a mysterious and serene atmosphere.

The Lords and Ministers Garden covers an area of 800 square meters and features a total of 11 statues of Shu Han figures. In addition to Liu Bei, the founding emperor of Shu Han, the statues include those of Shu generals such as Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Huang Zhong, Pang Tong, Wei Yan, Fei Yi, Jiang Wei, Huo Jun, Guan Suo, and Bao Sanniang, all of whom fought or lived in Zhaohua, showcasing their valor and spirit. There is also a statue of Liu Bei’s favorite steed, “Dilu.”
