Morsbroich Museum
The Morsbroich Museum is located in Leverkusen, a well-known industrial city in Germany. The historic building that houses the museum is called the "Morsbroich Palace," a beautiful Baroque-style hunting lodge situated just about one kilometer from the city center. In 1948, the building was leased to the city of Leverkusen; starting in 1951, it was used as an exhibition space; and after being purchased by the city in 1974, it was immediately converted into a municipal museum.

The Morsbroich Museum is a contemporary art museum and the first in North Rhine-Westphalia to explicitly collect works by renowned international post-war painters, sculptors, and installation artists. In addition, the museum provides exhibition space for stage productions and other forms of cultural activities. Over the past fifty years, the museum has amassed a collection of approximately 400 paintings and sculptures, as well as around 5,000 paper-based artworks. Short-term exhibitions also feature works by artists such as Josef Beuys, Gerhard Richter, Günther Uecker, or Yves Klein.
