Sekang Temple (Sehang Temple),
Tibetan: "Sègárìróng Luólǎdǐng Gòng", meaning "The Eternal Fortified Temple of White Light from the Own Sect"
Located at the foot of the Segadaize Mountain in Keqing Valley, Zaduo Township, 11 kilometers from the township. To the east of the temple lies the Sainianri Mountain, to the west is the Gaduo Juewu Mountain, and to the northwest is the Segadaize Mountain. The temple sits at the junction of these three mountains along a major transportation route. It is the largest and most influential Gelug sect monastery within Chindu County. Historically, many eminent monks visiting the Gaduo Juewu Sacred Mountain donated their treasures to this temple. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was one of the monasteries in the Tibetan region with the richest collection of precious artifacts. As a result, during the rule of Ma Bufang over Qinghai, Sekang Temple was looted four times by bandits and soldiers. Despite enduring these hardships, the monks of Sekang Temple still secretly preserve over a hundred kinds of precious Buddha statues and ancient relics. After the reform and opening-up, the monastery was rebuilt with a Five Sciences Buddhist College, a Tantric Studies School, an Exoteric Studies School, and a newly constructed, larger-scale Tibetan hospital.
