Introduction: Adjacent to downtown Sanya, the bay stretches 22 kilometers. It features fine, sandy shores and lush greenery along the coast, including the famous 20-kilometer Coconut Grove Corridor (Coconut Dream Corridor). The western area, known as Haipo Resort District, has soft sand and clear waters, making it great for swimming. The standout feature here is its proximity to the port — in the evening, you can join fishermen in pulling nets and enjoy breathtaking seaside sunsets. At sunset, the sky turns crimson red, and you can hear fishermen rhythmically chanting “One, two, three” as they pull the large drag nets with a team of around twenty people. If you're interested, you can join in to experience real fishing life. A single fishing net can be over 100 meters long, and it takes two to three hours to pull it in. Fishermen usually set the nets in the afternoon and haul them out around 8 PM — no easy feat. Additionally, Sanya Bay has three seaside squares and one coastal park, with Haiyue Square being the closest to the sea. The long bay is divided into three sections: the section nearest to the city is ideal for leisurely sightseeing and entertainment, the middle section is for public swimming and water activities, and the farthest section is a resort area with several holiday villages where you can relax and enjoy the bay. Tip: Sunset watching at Sanya Bay typically begins after 6:30 PM.
