Ile aux Cerfs offers powdery white sands perfect for sunbathing, tranquil lagoons with calm, glassy waters, and some of the clearest seawater in the world — ideal for snorkeling and other water activities. It is a favorite diving spot among European aristocrats. In addition, the island has an 18-hole golf course and two restaurants where visitors can slow down and enjoy a leisurely long lunch.
What’s particularly special about Ile aux Cerfs is that it consists of two small islands connected by a sandy strip that forms a dreamlike sea river. You can frolic freely along this “sea river.” The island can also be accessed from Baie Tranquille, and you can take a traditional catamaran cruise where you can enjoy grilled food while taking in the sea views. Ile aux Cerfs is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, especially its shallow reef where even non-swimmers can wade in safely for hundreds of meters without worrying about getting submerged.
