• Challenge yourself with a lion walk, ride an off-road vehicle through the wild, and enjoy an up-close encounter with nature.
• Attraction Introduction
The park is situated on the west coast of Mauritius, offering an exceptional opportunity to connect with nature and serving as a massive wildlife sanctuary that vividly showcases the African experience. It is home to a wide variety of bird species as well as rare animals such as giant tortoises. With its African-inspired vegetation and landscapes, the park is often referred to as a “miniature Kenya.”
Lion Walk
In Mauritius, there’s an unforgettable experience not to be missed — the “Lion Walk” at Casela Nature Park. Accompanied by professionals, you can walk side by side with the king of the jungle in an exhilarating adventure. You might even play together in streams and grasslands, recreating your own version of “Tarzan.” Afterward, you’ll receive a bravery certificate as a souvenir.
Off-Road Vehicle
You can also rent an off-road vehicle or a more agile Segway-style two-wheeled vehicle to freely roam through dense tropical forests, where you might unexpectedly encounter zebras, giant tortoises, and ostriches. For an even more thrilling experience, try the park’s valley-crossing cable slide. Over several hundred meters of sliding, you’ll feel like you’re soaring through the skies like a bird.
Additionally, the park offers free parking, restaurants, a grocery store, a 4D cinema, and souvenir shops to enhance your visit. The park is quite large and packed with activities, so plan to spend at least half a day to fully enjoy it.
Special Tips
1. Off-road vehicle rides require booking one day in advance. It’s also recommended to bring a dust mask, as the vehicles can kick up a lot of dust and splash mud.
2. No paid bird park activities are available on Sundays, and all paid activities must be booked in advance. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
3. Due to the rich vegetation and wildlife, mosquitoes can be present. Remember to bring anti-itch and mosquito repellent products.
4. Wear comfortable shoes and apply sun protection during your visit.
5. The Lion Walk is very popular, so it’s best to book at least a month in advance.
6. There is a Chinese service desk at the zoo entrance.
