Huangmaoya Battle Site

　　Huangmaoya, located in Huangmao Township in the northeast of Cangxi County, sits at a strategic pass on the route from Nanjiang and Wangcang to Cangxi. In 1934, during the western pursuit in the counter "Six-Routes Siege" campaign, the Fourth Front Red Army swiftly seized this strategic location. With fewer than 800 casualties among its officers and soldiers, they annihilated over 14,000 enemy troops, making it a classic battle in the military history of the Fourth Front Red Army where a smaller force triumphed over a much larger one.
