Dajing Village is located to the southwest of Jinggangshan, 7 kilometers from Ciping. During the Jinggangshan revolutionary struggle, Dajing was one of the important sites where leaders such as Mao Zedong, - and others, along with the Red Army, carried out revolutionary activities. This is where the former residences of Mao Zedong, -, Chen Yi, and others are located.

Former Residence of Mao Zedong in Dajing. On October 24, 1927, after Mao Zedong led the troops of the Autumn Harvest Uprising to Dajing Village, Wang Zuo, the leader of the local peasant militia, voluntarily vacated his military camp — a house known as the "White House" with white walls and blue tiles — for Mao Zedong and the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army to live in. Mao Zedong stayed in the east wing room of this house. The building had previously served as a medical station for the Red Army hospital. Peng Dehuai, Teng Daiyuan, and others also lived and worked here.

In late January 1929, - forces launched the third "encirclement and suppression" against the Jinggangshan revolutionary base, burning down all the houses in Dajing Village. Only a section of the remaining wall of the "White House," a large rock where Mao Zedong used to sit and read newspapers, and two evergreen trees behind the house where Mao often watched the Red Army training under the trees were left. In 1960, when the people of Jinggangshan restored the former residence of Mao Zedong in Dajing to its original appearance, they embedded the preserved wall remnants into the new wall as a historical witness. They also carefully fertilized and cultivated the two surviving evergreen trees behind the house, and protected the rock where Mao used to sit, naming it the "Reading Stone."

Former Residence of - in Dajing. The former residence of - in Dajing is adjacent to the former residence of Mao Zedong. After May 1928, when the headquarters of the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army (renamed the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in June) moved from Ninggang’s Maoping to Jinggangshan, it was stationed in a rammed-earth ancestral house belonging to the Zou Anren family in Dajing Village. Army Commander - and the Director of the Political Department of the Army, Chen Yi, often worked and lived in this house. After the failure of the third counter-"encirclement and suppression" campaign, -'s former residence was destroyed. The current - former residence was rebuilt in 1984 to its original appearance.
