Xincheng White Tiger Mountain

White Tiger Mountain is situated 0.25 kilometers west of Zhou’an Street in Gupeng Town. It stands about 300 meters tall, with a base circumference of roughly 1 kilometer. The lone peak juts up abruptly from the plain, featuring white cliffs and a majestic, imposing shape resembling a fierce tiger—hence its name. On the eastern slope lies “Huichun Rock” (Return-to-Spring Rock), a not-so-deep cave whose entrance preserves five cliff inscriptions. On the western slope is “Luoyin Rock” (also known as “Reclining Immortal Rock”), where 13 cliff inscriptions can be found on the rock face. Most of the cliff inscriptions at Huichun and Luoyin Rocks document the suppression of the Bajia peasant uprising by Wang Shouren, Minister of War, and his troops in the seventh year of the Jiajing era (1528) and the eighth year of the Wanli era (1580) of the Ming Dynasty.

In 1984, the cliff inscriptions on this mountain were listed as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit.
