St. Catherine's Church (Lübeck)
St. Catherine's Church is located in Lübeck and is a Gothic church built of red brick. It was once a Franciscan monastery and is named after Saint Catherine. The church was built in the early 14th century and is part of Lübeck’s UNESCO World Heritage site. Since 1980, it has been used by the Lübeck Museum as a museum church and exhibition hall.

The façade of St. Catherine's Church is adorned with glazed bricks sculpted in the 20th century by Ernst Barlach and Gerhard Marcks, which are exceptionally elegant and breathtaking. Since 1980, it has served as a museum space, hosting an exhibition featuring a replica of Bernt Notke’s “St. George and the Dragon” originally created for Stockholm Cathedral in the Old Town of Stockholm, a memorial plaque by Godfrey Kneller commemorating his father, and another artwork — Tintoretto’s “The Raising of Lazarus.”
