The Jorge Amado House is situated next to the “Pelourinho Square” in Salvador’s historic center, the setting for countless stories written by the author during his lifetime, and houses all of his works. In addition to the writings of Jorge Amado, it also features works by other Bahian authors, with the aim of encouraging the public to explore the literary history of Bahia through reading the works of northeastern writers. The Jélia Catunda Coffee Theater is a gathering place for artists and intellectuals, hosting cultural programs every Saturday that provide a platform for emerging talent to showcase their work.
