Sanya Coral Reef Nature Reserve

　　The Sanya Coral Reef Reserve is situated along the coast of Luhuitou Peninsula in Sanya City, as well as in the waters of Dongxiangzhou, Ximangzhou, and Yalong Bay, with a total sea-and-land area of 8,500 hectares. The reserve protects coral reefs and the typical tropical marine ecosystems and marine species formed by them. The area boasts high productivity and abundant biological resources, making it a crucial marine zone for conserving marine biodiversity. Based on conservation needs, it is divided into a core zone, buffer zone, and experimental zone, with absolute protective measures applied to the coral reef resources within the core zone.
