Tizi Ouzou

　　Tizi Ouzou is situated in the northern part of Algeria and serves as the capital and largest city of Tizi Ouzou Province. It is the second most populous city in the Kabylie region after Béjaïa, with its name derived from the Berber language.

　　Tizi Ouzou was established by the Ottomans and continued to expand and develop during the French colonial period. It is now an important city in northern Algeria and is home to Mouloud Mammeri University of Tizi Ouzou. As a trade hub for agricultural products from the Greater Kabylie mountainous region, the city also has industries such as olive oil production, fig processing, and winemaking.
