The Former Site of the Command Post of the Hou Tian Uprising – Huoxing Ancestral Hall is a provincial-level cultural heritage site, located in Hou Tian Village, Dongxiao, covering an area of 500 square meters. On March 4, 1928, Luo Huai Sheng, Guo Diren, Deng Zihui, and other leaders of the Longyan County Committee of the Communist Party of China organized an armed uprising of local farmers here. They broke open grain storage facilities to distribute food and burned land deeds and debt contracts, firing the first shot of the Fujian farmers’ armed uprising.
