Emerald Mountain

　　Introduction: It is the capital of the Hainan Li and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. "Tongshi," in the Li language, means "fertile valley." Tongshi is like a jewel inlaid amidst the red and green hues of the Five Finger Mountains. The beautiful NanSheng River winds around the mountain city like a silvery ribbon. Tongshi enjoys mild winters and cool summers. In the early morning, a gentle breeze blows, and mist envelops the mountain town; at noon, the clouds disperse and sunlight bursts forth brilliantly; in the afternoon, dark clouds gather, often bringing torrential rain, sometimes creating the spectacular sight of "sunshine on one side, rain on the other."
