Fairy Waterfall
Fairy Waterfall, originally named Jiji Waterfall, is located behind Jiji Junior High School in Jiji Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. This waterfall was artificially created on a circular cliff wall about thirty meters high. The project was proposed by Lin Ming-tsuen, the then-mayor of Jiji Township, to enhance local tourism. After geological surveys and negotiations with landowners, it was completed in 1997 (the 86th year of the Republic of China) and has since become a well-known attraction in the town.

Water cascades down from a wide cliff face about three stories high into a stone-lined pool below. Although not as grand as large natural waterfalls, it adds a dynamic charm to the small town. Additionally, the area around the waterfall features rest pavilions and is surrounded by various plants and flowers, creating a tranquil and pleasant environment that attracts many visitors to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Visitors should note that the waterfall is only visible during the summer high-water season. At other times of the year, the waterfall may not be flowing.
