Last Command Post of the Japanese Forces

   Introduction
The site of the Last Command Post of the Japanese Forces is located at the northern tip of Saipan Island. It houses war remnants such as tanks and cannons from World War II, as well as a fortified military stronghold formed from natural limestone. This place was originally an underground storage facility for atomic bombs. The B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II was loaded here. Now the site has been turned into a small park full of greenery, but visitors can still see bunkers carved into the rock walls and remnants of tanks.
