Lanyang River Rafting

　　Introduction       The Lanyang River is primarily located within Langao County, Ankang, and is a first-level tributary of the Han River. The water is clear and of moderate depth, with a series of thrilling rapids and calm stretches flowing in succession.

　　    The rafting trip on the Lanyang River begins at the Xinchun Hydropower Station, 5 kilometers from Langao County town beside the Anlan Highway. The journey takes you through nine rapids and eighteen bends, ending at the Guixi River Bridge, covering a total distance of 12 kilometers and lasting nearly two hours. Along the way, as you navigate the mountainous gorges and winding waters, you’ll experience sudden calms as smooth as a mirror and then sudden surges of rapid currents. Sitting steadily at the bow, you’ll ride the waves, feel the boat rise with the swells, and follow its course—fully immersed in the joy of connecting with nature.     Transportation       There are minibuses from Ankang directly to Langao County, costing 10 RMB per person. The usual boarding points are at the Ankang Bus Station on Bashan Middle Road or at the Anhuo intersection.  Admission/Ticket Hours       52 RMB per person (including 2 RMB for insurance)

　　    Note: Due to the strong dependence of rafting on seasonal conditions and river water levels, the activity is generally available from May to July each year.
